ROCK ON IN 2008!

Hello all you beautiful people! So what do you say for 2008?! This is going to be a big year...I hope you feel it too! One of reckoning, realizing, fun, fabulous feet, (that's for all you feet people out there), men and women by the way.....and just life at it's best.

I am just now beginning to understand this new found time and freedom is so precious! My resolution for 2008 is to try to take full advantage of it! What do I mean?

New hairdo perhaps?
New relationship....
New job, whoa, let's not move too fast....
Connecting with people...absolutely
Traveling to different parts of the world, absolutely
New Handbags, jewelery and shoes...yes, ideas galore!

These are my thoughts....I would love to get your feedback on these. Hair ideas. Shoes, handbags, I know what you want jewelery from me!

Your ideas and support are welcome here. Let's put our heads together! It doesn't mean anything if you don't like it!

Here are some questions for you:

How do you feel about products made in the US?
Would you pay more, knowing it was made in the US?
Natural products? Made with the environment in mind?
D0 these things add value to you as a consumer?

Your feedback is appreciated.

So this is a start and I want you to be a part of it!I already have my ideas but would love to hear from you via my blog or email. I love the emails, however, I cannot respond as quickly. FYI..

New years wishes to you tomorrow! If it's 2008 where you are now! Don't let yourself stop you! Go for it in 2008!

May you live long and Prosper! (Spock)

Thank you! Thank you!

I cannot thank those of you who have reached out to me enough! The suggestions, encouragement, love, support and yes, comments regarding my feet....have all meant so much to me. I'm actually at a loss for words....you know that doesn't happen very often!

Keep the good vibes coming and the suggestions........they are all accepted with gratitude and I only hope I can return the love and encouragement someday!

I have gotten so many emails and I want to let you know I have not been able to respond to all of them yet, I will, but haven't been able to get to them.

Wishing you health and happiness this new year!

A familiar parable...a good reminder this time of year....

An old Cherokee was teaching his young grandson one of life’s most important lessons. He told the young boy the following parable:

“There is a fight going on inside each of us. It is a terrible fight between two wolves,” he said.

“One wolf is evil. He is anger, rage, envy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The second wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, truth, compassion, and faith.”

The grandson thought about this for a moment. Then he asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win this fight?”The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.

Which are you feeding today?

In the words of Joni Mitchell....

They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone.....
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
They took all the trees
Put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see 'em
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone....
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Hey farmer farmer
Put away the D.D.T. now
Give me spots on my apples
But leave me the birds and the bees
Please!
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone....
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Late last night
I heard my screen door slam
and a big yellow taxi
Took away my old man
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone......
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
I said don't it always seem to go
that you dont know what you've got
Till it's gone.....
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Giving...........

I went to the nursing home today and handed out my jewelery I wore on QVC. I had so much and wanted to share the joy it gave me when I wore it. I went to the Alzheimer's ward for about an hour and a half and put necklaces on the ladies all afternoon. They loved it and so did I....the smiles they had were priceless!

Giving far outweighs the feeling of receiving....and as you have all taught me....you get back what you give, two-fold!

May you give with good energy this holiday season!

FREEDOM!

FREEDOM is a something we take for granted...but when we are experiencing it, it is PRICELSS!

White Elephant...

Just had the ladies over for the annual White Elephant Gift Party! It got a little rough this year....there were some handsome gifts that everyone fought over...the timer was set and the language got a little wild and loud! There was fun had by all!

It's the best way to celebrate the season with friends! Funny gifts all around! And no money spent,

everyone went home with something but most important we laughed and screamed and had cocktails and chocolate!

Now it's time for bed...I'll post again tomorrow....Sweet dreams...

SMILE......

SO.....I was out today and noticed, no one was smiling! Okay, we may all have our reasons to frown, however, you would be surprised if you smile how good it will make you feel and the impact it can have on others. I am not kidding you! I have done so many little experiments with this in my lifetime! You need something from someone, smile at them first. Even if you are feeling bad, sad or mad, make yourself smile. It's contagious! You want to make a difference in the world....you don't have to say anything, SMILE, as much as you can!

I think I am going to take the next year off and travel around the world and smile! Not really sure about that....but it would be interesting....

That's my thought for the day...simple, but pure.

Home-Sweet-Home!

Back to the comforts of home! A fire and soon, yes soon it will be time to start baking! I hope to have the videos up of my Mom and I cooking the Date Pin-Wheel cookies and yes, a Cheesecake! You can go to YouTube to see one now but I hope to have them connected to my website shortly!

England was fabulous and I am happy to report that I found a pair of stove-pipe jeans that actually fit. I feel like a bit of a 'rocker' in them but it is fun to try a new look!

I know it's crunch time regarding the holidays but do take time to enjoy the fun! Appreciate the fact that everyday is a new day and make the best of it! It's life after all, ENJOY! Breathe Deep!

Many blessings to you!

Greetings from London!

The 80's are back! Not kidding...leg warmers, low scrunchy boots, leggings, short skirts and colors you hoped you would never see in tights again. Now I'm not saying that I am a fashion plate and that I haven't made a fashion fau-pas or two....but jeez....I'm having flashbacks and some things from the 80's you just don't want to repeat! That is my fashion insight from the across the big pond. The rule, I am told, is that if you wore it once, you should never wear it again. I say, you should just be more sophisticated about it. I may try to come home with some straight leg jeans and some knee high boots. The problem is, finding a pair to fit over my 'badonka-donk' and my juicy calves. As my friend Christina says, 'you're not fat, you're just 'juicy couture'.

Having a blast....the history here is amazing. Kensington, Buckingham Palace, The Tower. If you read any English history it really is amazing here! Of course, everything is decorated for the holidays which makes it even more spectacular!

As they say in the tube...'mind the gap'.

Good Night, and Good Luck.

Peace-

Sally

London Calling!

Off to London to look at the fashionistas there! See what they are wearing that's comfortable, and yes, fashionable! We'll see what insight I can get and perhaps translate over here in the good ole USA.....

Be strong, honest and don't forget to breathe...deep....

Monday Night Football!

I am happy to report that this extra time has served me well! I just got home from a great trip....Monday night football on the sidelines with one of the greats! Not only was it a fun game, Patriots vs. Ravens, but the opportunity to be on the field was amazing! On the field with likes of Steve Young, Emmit Smith and Sal from ESPN! I had to share this with you as I am sure some of you are football fans....

I Hope you are staying warm and dry while experiencing these winter conditions......

Peace to you - Sally
