My first meal in Bangkok!
One of the first things I was excited about was the Thai silk and of course, Thai food. Upon my arrival at my hotel in Bangkok I went to the Thai restaurant on the river. I ordered this lovely appetizer and when they put it in front of me, well...it was clear that I was not sure what to do with it! The kind waiter casually sat beside me and showed me how to fold the leaf, and place the coconut, then the peanuts, shrimp, lime cubs and something that I cannot tell you what it was and then add the final sauce. Then, pop the whole thing in my mouth! Wow! What a production, I don't think I could have figured it out on my own but it was like nothing I have ever had before! Both in the flavor and in the production of it!
Looking forward to more tastes of Thailand!
Peace - Sally

Calling Salgal! Come in Salgal!
So,.....it appears from these photos that your Asian schoolhouse continues to bring you fun-filled field trips, scrumptious lunches, happy homework, and the warm learning experiences your soul has been craving throughout the cold Minnesota winter. Could Vietnam be next? You know I've got connections there. Keep tuning in to your own, no matter where your travels lead. The Force and the Frau are smiling with you all along the way!!!
